Victor Lund

Victor Lund
President and Chief Executive Officer

Victor L. Lund has served on Teradata’s Board of Directors since 2007, and has served as chair of its Audit Committee. Previously, Lund was the non-executive chairman of the board of DemandTec, Inc., a publicly-held, on-demand applications company, from December 2006 until February 2012.

Prior, Lund was non-executive chairman of the board of Mariner Health Care, Inc., a long-term health care services company, from 2002 to 2004, and he was vice chairman of Albertson’s, Inc. from 1999 to 2002. Lund was also chairman of the board of American Stores Company from 1995 until 1999 and its chief executive officer from 1992 until 1999. During his 22-year career with American Stores, Lund also held many operating executive positions. He also serves as a director of Service Corporation International and has served on a number of publicly-traded company boards, including Del Monte Foods Company and Delta Airlines.

 Stephen Brobst 

Stephen Brobst
Chief Technology Officer

Stephen Brobst is the chief technology officer (CTO) for Teradata Corporation. He is widely regarded as a leading expert in data warehousing and joined the Teradata team in October of 1999. Previously, Brobst successfully launched three start-up companies related to high-end database products and services in the data warehousing and e-business marketplaces.

Stephen also taught graduate courses at Boston University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in both the MBA program at the Sloan School of Management and in the computer science departments of both universities. He received the instructor of the year award for two of his last five years in the MET Computer Science department at Boston University and continues as a frequent guest lecturer at MIT and the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Stephen performed Master's and Ph.D. research at MIT, where his dissertation focused on load-balancing and resource allocation for massively parallel computing architectures. He also holds an MBA with joint course and thesis work at the Harvard Business School and the MIT Sloan School of Management. Brobst completed his undergraduate work in electrical engineering and computer science in just three years at University of California, Berkeley, and was awarded the highest honor given to a graduating senior in the College of Engineering (Bechtel Engineering Award). Brobst is an elected member of the Phi Beta Kappa, Eta Kappa Nu, Tau Beta Pi, Sigma Xi, New York Academy of Sciences, University of California, Berkeley Alumni Scholars Association, and the California Scholarship Federation honor societies. He has served as an advisor to the National Academy of Sciences in the area of IT workforce development and also served in Barack Obama’s first term as a member of the President’s Innovation and Technology Advisory Committee (PITAC), a working group of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST).

Stephen Brobst was recently ranked the number four U.S. chief technology officer for 2014. ExecRank screened more than 2,500 Chief Technology Officers from among more than 10,000 CTOs in the United States. The top three CTOs named for 2014 hold positions with Amazon.com, Tesla Motors, and Intel®.

Stephen has authored numerous journal and conference papers in the fields of data management and parallel computing environments and is an internationally recognized practitioner in the area of breakthrough systems implementation. He co-authored Building a Data Warehouse for Decision Support, published by Prentice Hall PTR and is working on a book on Active Data Warehousing® for the real-time enterprise. He has published dozens of technical articles in Intelligent Enterprise Magazine, The International Journal of High Speed Computing, Communications of the ACM, The Journal of Data Warehousing, Enterprise Systems Journal, DM Review, Database Programming and Design, and many others. Brobst has been on the faculty of the Data Warehousing Institute since 1996 and teaches courses related to Real-Time Data Warehousing, High Performance Data Warehouse Design, Data Visualization, and Emerging Technologies in Data Warehousing.

Mark Culhane

Mark Culhane

Mark Culhane is executive vice president and chief financial officer for Teradata, reporting to Vic Lund, president and CEO. Mark leads Teradata’s financial organization and is also responsible for IT services, enterprise risk, and global operations.

Mark is an experienced leader who has served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of several transformative, cloud-based software companies. He has scaled and shaped organizations to support and sustain rapid growth, and has led and managed numerous financings via IPOs, venture capital, debt and follow-on offerings, and has directed and driven strategic acquisitions. He currently serves on the board of directors of cloud software companies, UserZoom and CallidusCloud.

Most recently, Mark ran Culhane Advisory Services, counseling management teams at venture and private equity-backed cloud software companies on financial strategies, financial reporting, go-to-market strategies, and supporting and scaling growth. Previously, he has served as SVP & CFO at Lithium Technologies and as EVP and CFO at DemandTec. Mark has also held CFO positions at iManage and SciClone Pharmaceuticals, and worked in the audit practice of Price Waterhouse.

Mark is a graduate of the University of South Dakota and holds a CPA certificate from the State of California.

Dan Harrington is executive vice president of customer support & services for Teradata, reporting to Oliver Ratzesberger. He is responsible for leading Teradata’s Customer Services and Managed Services organizations, and providing guidance and oversight of the company’s IntelliCloud™ and the Global Delivery Centers (GDC). These organizations deliver world-class support to customers around the globe in order to optimize and manage their Teradata ecosystem, provide a seamless experience for our customers regardless of their chosen delivery method: Teradata on premises, IntelliCloud in the cloud, or on premises.

Dan brings experience in all facets of the business, including sales, services, marketing and engineering and has held numerous leadership roles, including heading Teradata’s international sales and services organization, research and development and worldwide marketing.

Based in San Diego, CA, Dan earned a Master’s degree in business management and graduated with distinction from the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Angelo State University, graduating summa cum laude.

Laura Nyquist

Laura Nyquist
General Counsel and Secretary

Laura Nyquist serves as general counsel for Teradata Corporation reporting to Vic Lund.

Laura earlier served as vice president of corporate affairs and secretary to NCR’s board of directors. She also held the position of chief privacy officer for NCR, coordinating the company’s privacy programs. In January 2007, NCR announced its intent to spin-off Teradata, and Nyquist was appointed General Counsel for the post-spin Teradata Corporation.

Laura began her NCR career in 1986 as an attorney in the corporate law section of the company’s law department, holding a number of positions. She was named to head that group in 1992 with responsibility for providing legal expertise in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, securities, financing and export controls.

Before joining NCR, Laura was an attorney in private practice in Minneapolis, and began her law career as an attorney with the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.

Laura received her law degree from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn. She is currently active in the Dayton arts community, chairing Dayton’s Culture Works Board of Directors.

Chief Operating Officer

Oliver Ratzesberger is chief operating officer of Teradata Corporation, reporting to Vic Lund, president and chief executive officer. Mr. Ratzesberger has global operating responsibility for Teradata’s operations and leads the company’s strategies for go-to-market, products, and services.

Mr. Ratzesberger has an extensive background in analytics, big data and software development.  Prior to Teradata, he worked for both Fortune 500 and early-stage companies, holding positions of increasing responsibility in software development and IT, including leading the expansion of analytics at eBay. 

A pragmatic visionary, Oliver frequently speaks and writes about leveraging data and analytics to improve business outcomes. His new book with co-author Mohanbir Sawhney, “The Sentient Enterprise: The Evolution of Decision Making,” was published in 2017 and was named to the Wall Street Journal Bestseller List.

Oliver earned his engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from HTL Steyr in Austria, and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. He lives in San Diego with his wife and two daughters.

Eric is a global business executive with experience leading multiple functional areas across several industries. He has a strong track-record of spearheading sales growth and workforce transformation, as well as enhancing the efficiency of enterprise sales and business development. Eric has extensive experience driving change within an organization to achieve the next level of business performance, utilizing culture change, sustainable processes and disciplined sales management tools.

Previously, Eric served as Executive Vice President, Global Sales, at International Game Technology, overseeing all sales and service globally, enterprise marketing and business development, and driving enterprise revenue of over $2B annually. He has also held various leadership positions at Broadband Interactive TV, where he was Chief Executive Officer, and sales executive roles at Qwest Communications and Sprint. 

Eric received a Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Hawaii and an MBA in corporate finance from University of California, Berkeley.

Suzanne is an accomplished leader with more than 20 years of experience in the areas of human capital and performance. Most recently, Suzanne served as Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources at Atmel Corporation, a San Jose-based public company that was the  leader in the design and manufacture of semiconductors at the center of the Internet of Things. Atmel was acquired by Microchip in 2016.

Prior to joining Atmel, Suzanne held Chief Human Resources and People Officer roles at several public and private technology and life science companies. Suzanne is also an adjunct professor in the School of Management at San Diego State University, where she teaches Total Rewards and Talent. Suzanne holds a BS in Finance from San Diego State University and a Certification in Human Resources Management from the University of California, San Diego.
